Man and depression
Depression is a disease that is closely and frequently related to man. Across the USA 80 % of all suicide cases involve men, which means that mankind is feeling vulnerable to what depression is concerned. The percentage increases at the same time with the age increase, so at midlife the male suicide rate is three times higher and for men with the age over 65 the suicide rate is seven times higher. When suffering from depression, man act very differently than women, they act out their interior clutter while women are closing their feelings inside of them. A man who suffers of depression is feeling angry, irritable, he is always trying to put the blame on others because of his misery life, whilst women are feeling worthless, apathetic, sad, scared and they always put the blame on themselves.
The relationship between man and depression
A man who suffers of depression has to be very impassive and it is highly recommended that he is under a treatment, prescribed by a depression disease specialist. His life can be in danger and his family's life too. A man can react very badly when having depression symptoms, he gets very angry if someone is acting kind of strange, from his point of view, he may even attach someone or get in a fight with. There are different ways to get cured or, at least, to ameliorate the disease symptoms. The most important is the medication path, which keeps the patient on a straight line. In addition to the medication, a man who is depressive needs to have a calm life, needs to have a special diet, to exercise, to learn how to accept himself and others, to have individual and group psychotherapy meetings and to get socialized as much as possible. There are a lot of people who claim that depression can not cause anything bad to a person but statistics say the opposite, trying to warn others that it is a very important subject to consider and the relation between man and depression really exists.
